The Bees & Locusts are a seven-piece, Indigenous-led band from Taos Pueblo blending organic hip-hop, R&B, soul, and funk into a sound that’s both rooted and alive. Led by poet and frontman Cody Mirabal (“Ph8”), their shows move easily between groove and message—uplifting, danceable, and full of heart. With a lineup shaped by diverse musical backgrounds, the band creates a rich, layered sound that feels as good as it is to move to. Based in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, they tour throughout the western U.S. while continuing to release original music.
