About this event
Ask Carol is an alt indie-rock duo from Auma, Norway, with a two-person setup that still belts big-band energy. They blend fierce and intimate sounds inspired by the Kills, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and White Stripes with a Nordic twist, and have toured the US, UK, Europe, the Philippines, Japan, Korea, and SXSW (2018–2024). Debut album on ChoVan Records (2022); AC II: Desert Sky in 2026 with a Spellemann nomination.
Big Violet, from Taos, NM, turned a 2022 side project into a rock powerhouse. Their live show fuses grit and glitter: bold vocals, scorching guitar, and a relentless rhythm. Songs cover bad decisions, quitting jobs, desert rides, heartbreak, and rebirth—guaranteed to make you laugh, dance, and maybe cry.
