SMU Taos Community Lecture with Jhane Myers

A conversation between Heath Clayton, SMU Adjunct Professor and Lead Executive Officer of the National Fund for Excellence in American Indian Education, and Jhane Myers — Emmy award winning Comanche and Blackfeet filmmaker, producer of the landmark Comanche-language film *Prey* and the documentary *Free Leonard Peltier*, and a leading voice in Indigenous cinema. Together they explore what it means to lead from culture, how Native artists and educators navigate systems not built for them, and why the arts are not a luxury but a lifeline — and a leadership school — for Native youth. RSVP’s are appreciated but not required.
