Hippy Wars Salon and Reading

About this event

Join author Celia Persephone Gregory for a simple water blessing, a reading from Hippy Wars, and a conversation inspired by the historic movement to return Blue Lake.

What can this landmark struggle teach us about water?

More than a resource, water sustains identity, community, and every form of life. As scarcity, pollution, and climate change reshape our world, the story of Blue Lake invites us to reconsider what we truly value—and how we might better care for the living systems that sustain us all.

Healthy water flows freely, weaving through forests, fields, deserts, and communities on its journey to the sea. Every living being depends upon that journey. Our future depends on learning to protect the waters that connect us.

As water flows, we grow. Belonging is a birthright. Water teaches us that belonging is not something we achieve. It is something we participate in.
