A Disturbance and Paseo Project Event: Burnt Earth Brings Ceramic Art into the Amole Canyon Burn Scar

The Paseo Project, Del Fuego, and The Forest Stewards Guild, presents Burnt Earth, an exhibition of ceramic art installed within the Amole Canyon. Guest curated by Taos ceramic artist and educator Lee Akins, the exhibition brings together regional artists whose work reflects the elemental relationship among earth, minerals, fire, and human creativity.

Presented as part of Disturbance: The Art & Ecology of Change, Burnt Earth places ceramic works directly within a landscape shaped by fire. The setting invites visitors to consider both the environmental impact of ceramic production and the ways the natural environment influences the materials, techniques, and ideas ceramic artists employ.
