Writer and publisher Gail Spilsbury will introduce her press’s recent publication of The
Ship of Death: Last Poems by D. H. Lawrence, followed by a 15-minute reading from
her short story, “There Are Places”—the dialogue that led her to discovering
Lawrence’s “Last Poems” from 1933. Local poets will then read poems from The Ship
of Death.
