Now in her second decade as a Taos County resident, and her sixth year represented at magpie, it is a genuine honor to see Johnston’s work evolve and change, informed by her dynamic life and love for this environment. The textures and compositions are incredibly complicated to achieve, yet very easy to look at and live with. The viewer will find new details, portals and pathways with every visit with a piece.
