IT’S PARADE DAY, BAYBEEEE~!!!!
RAIN ON OUR PARADE is a free, communal celebration in gratitude for the live-giving rains and waterways that sustain us. Part party and part prayer/ritual, this 0.5-mile walking parade — full of music, games, storytelling, land connection, and many chances to dance — brings folx of all backgrounds together at the Taos Land Trust’s Rio Fernando Wetlands Park (TAOS, NM) on Sunday afternoon, September 27. (Gather at 3 pm & roll @ 3:30 pm.)
The two-hour event will feature an opening blessing, PARTIZANI BRASS BAND powering us along, plus small performances at different stops along the way. We will end with a drummified rain dance + a “give back” — act of community service — to TLT.
