Loose fiber, soap, water, and a bit of elbow grease are all it takes to create wool felt. With the addition of embellishments, wet felting can produce beautiful layers, textures, and dimension.
Artemisia welcomes fiber artist Deb Tewell for a wet-felting demonstration during First Friday in the Upper Bent Street courtyard. Stop by between 5 and 7 p.m. on Friday, October 2, to watch Deb demonstrate the wet-felting process as she creates a nuno-felted scarf.
Deb has been felting for 20 years, and her wearable art garments have been recognized regionally and nationally.
Light refreshments will be served.
