Support LiveTaos!

What’s this all about?

LiveTaos is an independent, grassroots media voice focused on all things arts, entertainment, and culture in Taos. Since we went live in 2013, we’ve been a mostly-volunteer operation of local artists working together to lift up the many great things going on in Taos and northern New Mexico.

Our 100% free and inclusive events calendar is read on multiple radio stations and embedded on various websites around town. We partner with local venues, musicians, artists, and performers to promote events and opportunities that engage locals and visitors alike. The scene in Taos is only getting better and better, and we’re here to make sure you don’t miss a thing.

We also believe that all the voices from within this amazing, vibrant community deserve to be heard, so we have an open-submissions policy for content. And we’ve worked hard to be able to compensate our “on-staff” Contributing Writers for their part in keeping LiveTaos relevant and exciting.

So, why should i give you a high $5?

At LiveTaos, we’re dedicated to preserving a hyper-local, independent media voice for Taos and northern New Mexico. That means we don’t let anyone else dictate or censor our content, we strive to keep ads to an absolute minimum, and we promise never to spam your content with cluttered backgrounds or those creepy corporate ads that follow you around the internet.

In order to keep this promise, we’re asking for just a little bit of support from our readers. If everyone who uses LiveTaos chips in just $5 right now, we’ll be able to make 2016 our best year ever! Hell, if we raise enough, we’ll happily go back to being completely ad-free.

Crowd-supported independent media never tasted so delicious.

Why $5?

See, $5 a year comes out to just $0.013 per day for 365 days of access to the best events calendar in the land, with great interviews, stories, and videos to boot.

So when you give LiveTaos a High $5, you’re really saying, “I support independent local media. I’ve got a penny a day to spare. I’m a fine, intelligent, good-looking human being, and damnit, I do what I want.”

And we couldn’t agree more.

Can I give more than $5?

Absolutely! We will joyfully and gratefully accept your legal tender in any denomination.

Is my contribution tax-deductible?

No — we are a for-profit business. However, all contributions go straight back into making LiveTaos bigger and better — and to paying the amazing artists, writers, and designers who bring you the local content you love.

Your dollars tell us that you like what we’re doing, and want to see us to keep it up! High five!

What if I want to support in a bigger way?

Why then, we would be just delighted to speak with you. We have lots of ideas for other ways we could expand, with the right kind of financial support behind us. Please email editor@livetaos.com, and Rita will get back to you right away!
